Aims

The aim of the Bachelor of Radiography degree program in University of Ilorin is to provide students with integrated learning experience in theory and practice that will enable them to provide high quality images and optimum patient care to meet both local and international needs in the practice of radiography profession, producing better by far graduates, particularly as Nigerian trained radiography graduates are in high demand in the world.

Objectives

1. Encourage the capacity to independently seek information, correctly interpret and analyze the contents in a logical manner in the context of evidence-based clinical practice;

2. ensure development of problem-solving ability in order to enhance clinical skills and patient’s care as well as management;

3. cultivate life-long learning habit through conduction and participation in continuing educational programmes like seminars, workshops and conferences;

4. maintain sustainable interaction with other health care providers in the community to facilitate opportunities for research and studies in physiotherapy that can impact on the societal wellbeing;

5. ⁠create awareness of health promotion, disease prevention and medical rehabilitation;

6. generate in students an appreciation of the role of radiography in healthcare delivery, environmental and social relevance, such as rural radiography, bioinformatics and information technology;
